  This is the only pub in town and it right on the water so it’s not going to be cheep. The staff were friendly, and considering how how busy it was they held their cool. Well done

  Went to the BH on Wednesday night, keen for a pub feed. But walked unfortch walked out disappointed. I had the beef burger, which for $24 was expecting more than a homebrand white bun, the chips were good but a sauce wouldn’t go astray.

  Great place in the heart of Barwon Heads to meet friends for a few no nonsense drinks and a bit of a catch up. Our last visit was for a surprise birthday, perfect location. Great service and not too pricey.

  Lunch with cousins from interstate. Lovely meal. I had the ‘special’ barramundi and greens which was delicious. Staff were so helpful (including taking a photo for us). Good food rating by all.

  We love the BHP. The food is delicious, hearty, flavoursome and reasonably priced. The only disappointment we've had was an undressed handful of mixed lettuce as the 'salad.' The staff are the BEST. So friendly, hospitable, efficient. The dining room is a traditional Aussie pub, a big room, usually lots of kids and families so can be noisy. But that's the type of dining room it is. There are a number of other bars, quiet corners and outdoor areas to choose from.

  Nice place with good food. Can get busy so will need to book in peak times. Good for children also. Right by the beach and caravan park. Lots of parking outside. You can't miss it as it is by the bridge. Happy staff and people here. It's not the most expensive either.

  Was extremely disappointed with the food. All meals were tasteless and lacked any flavour. The chicken kiev was off and seemed old. The grilled flake was soggy. In addition, service was not flexible at all as the waitress refused to alter the smallest additions to meals unless it was an allergy requirement. The service as a whole was also generally unpleasant and the meals arriving in mere minutes after ordering makes me seriously wonder whether the food has been sitting out for a long time. Also expensive and overpriced- $90 for four people that doesn't live up to the expectation of good food. One star for drink portions and chips.
